Recovering the hard disk is now a reality. Most people suggested Ontrack as a data recovery service. I will send them the disk and let you know what happen then. When they asked for the operating system the disk was running on, I answered “OpenBSD” and they said “no problem, we fully support it”. That’s a good start 🙂 Another suggestion is Kurt, a hungarian company that seems to be very skilled in hard disk recovery. I will ask them a quote as well.
